Brazil Challenges US Tariffs on Products Linked to Alleged Forced Labor at WTO

Brazil has formally requested World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute consultations with the United States. This action challenges additional US duties imposed under Section 301 of the US Trade Act of 1974, which target products from 60 economies based on allegations of lax enforcement of forced labor bans. Brazil argues these measures are inconsistent with WTO agreements and deems the US decision "arbitrary and unjustified."
