European Union adopts 21st package of sanctions against Russia, targeting energy, finance, crypto, and trade.
The Council of the European Union has adopted its 21st package of sanctions against Russia, building on previous measures. The new sanctions focus on energy, financial services, crypto-assets, trade (including bans on copper, nickel, lead, and precious-metal ores), and the Russian military-industrial complex. Additionally, 218 new persons and entities have been sanctioned. This package aims to further restrict Russia's ability to fund its war efforts and circumvent existing sanctions.
