US bombs Iranian military sites and downs missiles; Israel conducts strikes in southern Lebanon

The United States has bombed Iranian military sites and successfully downed missiles fired by Tehran at US troops in Kuwait. Concurrently, Israel has carried out strikes in southern Lebanon, killing eight people, a day after claims of de-escalation between Israel and Hezbollah.
