Workers strike at BHP's Port Hedland, disrupting global iron ore exports

More workers have joined a strike at BHP's Port Hedland operations in Western Australia, marking the first major industrial action at the world's largest iron ore export hub in 25 years. The 24-hour stoppage by three unions is expected to impact global iron ore exports, with BHP shipping approximately $80 million worth of iron ore daily through the port. Negotiations between the unions and BHP are set to resume on August 18.
