Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan sign NATO-style mutual defense pact in Mecca

Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement on August 7, 2026, establishing a mutual defense framework with a clause similar to NATO's Article 5, stating that an attack on one state shall be regarded as an attack on all.
