Canada Imposes Sanctions on Defense Manufacturer Streit Group for Supporting Russia's War in Ukraine

Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Anand, announced new sanctions against Streit Group, a defense manufacturer, under the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations. The sanctions were imposed following multiple credible reports confirming that armored vehicles produced by Streit Group have been used by the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia) in Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine. This measure aims to reduce Russia's military capabilities by disrupting Streit Group's capacity to supply military technology and equipment.
