EU Boosts Humanitarian Aid for Myanmar by €10.5 Million Amid Escalating Conflict and Crisis

The European Union is providing an additional €10.5 million in humanitarian aid to Myanmar, bringing its total support for 2026 to €49.1 million. The country faces one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises, with over 100,000 lives lost since the February 2021 military coup and 16.2 million people in need of assistance. The new funding will provide emergency healthcare, food, protection, shelters, and water and sanitation equipment.
