Colombia Grapples with Growing Humanitarian Crisis Following 7.4 Magnitude Earthquake

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake has struck Colombia, resulting in over 200 deaths and affecting more than 53,000 people across at least 13 departments. The disaster has destroyed nearly 12,000 homes and severely damaged critical infrastructure, including health facilities, schools, roads, and bridges. Humanitarian needs are critical, especially in rural areas, with challenges persisting in reaching affected communities.
