WHO Reports Over Four Attacks Per Day on Healthcare in Conflict Zones in 2026

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on August 14, 2026, that attacks on healthcare facilities, workers, and patients in conflict zones, including Ukraine and Gaza, have continued to rise in 2026, averaging more than four per day. Over 900 attacks have been recorded between January and August, resulting in at least 900 deaths and over 1,400 injuries, highlighting a severe violation of international humanitarian law.
