UN warns Yemen conflict risks wider Middle East involvement amid escalating Houthi attacks

The UN Security Council was warned that the conflict in Yemen is at risk of being drawn into a wider Middle East conflict due to escalating Houthi attacks. Yemeni government forces, backed by Saudi Arabia, have launched drone and artillery strikes in response to a new Houthi offensive.
