The European Union has strongly condemned the Lukashenka regime's recent decision to label websites and social media of EUvsDisinfo, EU-supported SALT and 'Education for Belarusians' programmes, and Lithuania's Central Project Management Agency as 'extremist information sources'. The EU described this as 'yet another example of the regime's systematic efforts to suppress critical thinking, restrict fundamental freedoms and shrink civic space,' and called for the decision to be reversed.
