Nepal Grapples with Devastating Floods and Landslides; Hundreds Trapped and Thousands Missing

Nepal is facing a severe humanitarian crisis following unprecedented floods and mudslides on the Nepal-Tibet border, attributed to a glacier collapse. The disaster has killed nearly 800 people, with over 3,000 still missing. Rescue teams, including Chinese and Indian experts, are working to reach hundreds of workers believed to be trapped inside blocked hydropower project tunnels. The Red Cross has estimated that more than 90,000 people are likely to have been affected by the disaster.
