EU Designates ChatGPT, Reddit, and Roblox as "Very Large Online Platforms" Under Tougher Digital Services Act Rules

The European Union has designated ChatGPT, Reddit, and the gaming platform Roblox as "very large online platforms" under its Digital Services Act (DSA). This designation subjects them to tougher safety rules and greater legal scrutiny in Europe, marking a significant step in the EU's efforts to regulate major tech companies. Platforms with over 45 million monthly active users in the EU are subject to these additional obligations, which they now have four months to comply with.
