UN Report Details Foreign Involvement Sustaining Sudan Conflict Amid Worsening Humanitarian Crisis

A UN fact-finding mission has revealed that foreign weapons, military technology, fighters, and logistical networks are actively sustaining Sudan's civil war, enabling warring parties to strike distant civilian areas with drones. The mission identified a network, including entities in the UAE, Chad, Libya, and Somalia, as suppliers to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with up to 2,000 Colombian contractors reportedly operating advanced weapons. The conflict has displaced nearly 13 million people, making it one of the world's largest humanitarian crises, with drone strikes alone killing at least 880 civilians in the first four months of 2026.
