International Organizations Seek Aid for Nepal Flood Response Amid Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking $20.5 million to assist 43,000 people affected by severe flash floods in Nepal, which occurred in August 2026. The response, aligned with a UN flash appeal, focuses on strengthening displacement tracking, site coordination, and scaling up shelter, health, and protection aid. The UN and humanitarian partners are actively supporting relief efforts, deploying essential supplies and personnel, and using satellite imagery to assess the widespread destruction and ongoing needs.
