Hong Kong Court Sentences Tiananmen Vigil Activists to Years in Prison Under National Security Law

A Hong Kong court has sentenced three prominent Tiananmen vigil activists, including Lee Cheuk-yan, Chow Hang-tung, and Albert Ho, to between five and seven years in jail for national security crimes. Their convictions, under the national security law imposed by Beijing, have drawn widespread international condemnation from the United Nations, human rights groups, and foreign governments, who view it as a further erosion of freedoms in the city.
