Their seizure of Yemen's Red Sea coast and Perim Island enables them to use a broader range of weapons systems to threaten shipping. Additionally, the Houthis are conducting a coordinated effort with other Axis of Resistance members to coerce Saudi Arabia by attacking Saudi energy infrastructure, with recent drone strikes from Iraq hitting the East-West Pipeline and pumping stations.
