IOM Warns Sudan's Humanitarian Aid System Could Collapse Within Weeks Amid Funding Shortfall

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has issued a stark warning that Sudan's emergency relief supply, managed through the IOM Common Humanitarian Pipeline, is at risk of depletion by the end of September 2026 due to a lack of immediate donor support. With 8.6 million people internally displaced and ongoing conflict and heavy rains exacerbating needs, the IOM Director General stated that the entire humanitarian system in Sudan could collapse within weeks, severely impacting the ability to deliver lifesaving assistance.
