Global Aid Cuts Undermine Disease Prevention Efforts, Warns Global Fund Report

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria's annual report indicates that global aid reductions in the past year have impacted disease prevention programs more severely than treatment services. This shift, while protecting existing patients in the short term, poses a risk of increased new infections in the future, according to Peter Sands, head of the Global Fund.
