European Union to Ban Social Media for Children Under 13 and Restrict Access Until 15

The European Union has announced plans to ban social media access for children under 13 and allow only limited, supervised access for those aged 13 to 15. This landmark decision, unveiled by EU chief Ursula von der Leyen, aims to address the negative impacts of social media on children's physical and mental health. The new regulations will also target addictive design features and impose fines of up to 6% of annual turnover for platforms that violate the rules.
