US and China Extend Trade Truce, Agree to Discuss Reciprocal Tariff Cuts

China announced a two-month extension of its trade truce with the United States, allowing both nations more time to assess existing arrangements and discuss further steps to resolve economic and trade disputes. One of the initial tasks for a newly established trade council will be to discuss reciprocal tariff reductions on approximately $30 billion worth of goods.
