US Sanctions Kremlin-Backed Fintech A7 for Enabling Iran Sanctions Evasion

The US Treasury has designated A7, a Kremlin-backed fintech company, as a transnational criminal organization. The company is accused of facilitating Iran and its proxy groups in evading Western sanctions. The new measures, announced on Thursday, will freeze any assets held by A7 in the US and prohibit Americans from conducting business with the cross-border payments company or its subagents.
