U.S. deploys thousands of troops to Middle East as President Trump considers new strikes on Iran

The U.S. military is dispatching approximately 9,000 troops aboard a group of ships to the Middle East, as President Donald Trump warned anew that new strikes against Iran could be on the horizon. This escalation follows Trump's rejection of Iran's latest ceasefire proposal, which he deemed 'not good enough'. Trump also suggested early indications link Iran to a co-pilot who allegedly stabbed his captain and attempted to crash an Israel-bound flight.
