US Prepares Major Military Deployment to Middle East Amid Rising Iran Tensions

The Pentagon is preparing to deploy a third aircraft carrier strike group and additional Marine Corps ships, adding an estimated 9,000 to 10,000 troops to the Middle East by the end of November. This comes as President Donald Trump considers resuming strikes on Iran after the midterm elections and has warned that Iran would be 'hit very hard' if linked to a recent FlyDubai incident. A supertanker was also reportedly hit by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz.
