Israelis are marking the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, which killed 1,200 people and led to a devastating war in Gaza. Despite a ceasefire, Israeli strikes continue in Gaza, which remains largely in ruins with its two million inhabitants facing dire conditions. The conflict has expanded regionally, with Israeli troops occupying parts of southern Lebanon and Syria, and the United States engaging in a confrontation with Iran that has impacted the global economy.
