UN Security Council to Vote on Renewing Sudan Sanctions Regime
The UN Security Council is expected to vote on October 8 on a draft resolution to renew the 1591 Sudan sanctions regime, which includes targeted sanctions and an arms embargo, for two months until December 11. The draft text also extends the mandate of the Panel of Experts assisting the Sanctions Committee until January 11, 2027.
