IMF Reaches Staff-Level Agreement with Niger on New Credit Facility

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff and Nigerien authorities have reached a staff-level agreement on the final review of an existing Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program and a new 38-month ECF-supported program. This agreement, pending IMF Executive Board approval, is expected to unlock a disbursement of approximately $36 million to support Niger's external financing needs and reform efforts, with strong economic growth projected for the country.
