NATO officials visit Ukraine to discuss battlefield situation and urgent needs.

NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Douglas Jones, and Assistant Secretary General for Operations, Dr. Christian Buck, visited Ukraine from October 20-22, 2026. During their visit, they met with Ukrainian officials to discuss the current battlefield situation, urgent needs ahead of the winter, and Ukraine's ongoing reform efforts. NATO reaffirmed its steadfast support for Ukraine, including through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) mechanism for military equipment and the Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP).
