Iraqi Court Sentences French Nationals for ISIS Membership

An Iraqi court has sentenced six French nationals to life in prison and another to 15 years for membership in ISIS. These individuals were among 47 French suspects transferred from Syria to Iraq last year. The court applied Iraq's counterterrorism law, citing the defendants' role in joining ISIS and spreading fear, with life imprisonment given due to their youth.
