US Announces Plan to Halt Annual Aid to Israel by End of 2026

US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will cease approximately $4 billion in annual financial assistance to Israel by the end of 2026, citing an agreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, Israeli defense and finance officials reportedly expressed surprise, and neither Netanyahu's office nor Israel's foreign minister immediately confirmed the agreement. This potential shift could significantly impact US-Israel relations and regional dynamics.
