Roche Reports Positive Phase 3 Data for Steroid-Free Uveitic Macular Edema Therapy
Roche has released positive one-year Phase 3 data for its steroid-free therapy, vamikibart, for uveitic macular edema (UME). The MEERKAT study met its primary endpoint, demonstrating significant improvements in visual acuity and central subfield thickness. While the SANDCAT study did not meet its primary endpoint, vamikibart could become the first non-steroid targeted treatment for UME if approved by the FDA, potentially establishing a new standard of care for patients.
