U.S. Warns Allies of Potential Iran Strikes Post-Midterms While Diplomatic Efforts Continue
U.S. officials have reportedly warned Middle East allies to prepare for potential renewed military action against Iran following the U.S. midterm elections if a diplomatic deal is not reached. This comes as U.S. Vice President JD Vance sent a letter to Iranian Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei in an effort to revive peace negotiations. Qatar-led mediators are also working to convince Iran to allow U.N. inspectors to visit its nuclear sites in exchange for sanctions relief. The ongoing 'Iran war' has also exposed structural weaknesses in Arab economies, with the U.N. estimating a minimum five-year recovery at a cost of $1.4 trillion.
